| 説明 | Planning permission was successfully applied for to demolish this health centre and replace it. There are elements of Ely Cathedral's lantern in here, but round is now out. It's in Pevsner, of course. Built only in 1991 , design by Cassidy Taggart partnership who also designed Hillingdon Underground station. I like the stone cladding effect. The unkempt uncut grassy waste area around it is a disgrace. The white exterior of the consulting rooms looks a bit like a demolition company's fence, but this was the original conception and it is still in use. 16 years old ....about the life of a bus. Plans include living accommodation in the replacement.For some strange reason, this planning application doesn't appear on the Hackney Council web site but it has apparently already been granted.this fascinating building was demolished in late October 2010, but a couple of pictures were posted on the Practice's web site |
