| 説明 | Crowds queuing up to half an hour to get a taste of the huge variety of sushi on offer at Makoto in World Square and in Chatswood. We wondered what the fuss was, and we waited 20 minutes for the privelage of squeezing in among mostly Asian and Caucasian diners perched on stools around the stage with several sushi chefs preparing little morsels. Our fears of this being a knock-off sushi joint run by Asians were assuaged by the waitresses callig orders to the sushi chefs in Japanese.Back to the food. We grabbed several plates of sushi as they danced on the belt in front of us. Scallops, salmon, mackeral, pickled jellyfish with faux-sharkfin, all good. Sure, it's not the best sushi in the world, but when most dishes were AUD3.60, it's quite good value.We also ordered a bubbling claypot of Nabeyaki Udon with thin slices of beef and a runny poached egg, and slippery smooth udon.
