| 説明 | Bratton Church (St. Lawrence), Wiltshire, 12 August 2018. Norman church (nave, chancel and tower) totally rebuilt in 15th Century in Perpendicular style on same foundations whilst a clerestory, north and south ailses, north and south transepts and south porch (unusually adjoining transept) added. A cruciform church resulted. The chancel was replaced in 1854 by Giles Gilbert Scott again on the same foundations but in neo-Gothic (Early English) style. In 1860 the church was restored by T H Wyatt. Pictured is the north isle and transept. |
