| 説明 | "ratto della pileria": "ratto" is an odonym (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_or_road_name) that in Italy exist only in Trieste. "Ratto" descend from Latin "raptus" = "fast", because this street is very steep and when you go downward your steps is very fast. There is only another "ratto", always in Trieste, "ratto dei mandrieri"."Pileria" is a name derived by a rice-husking facility built in 1913 that there was in this area ("pilatura" in Italian is the name for the refining of rice). In the World War II the building was transformed in a Nazi concentration camp, the only one in Italy and in the Southern Europe, now declared national monument. --"ratto della pileria": "ratto" è un odonimo (it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odonomastica) che in Italia esiste solo a Trieste. "Ratto" deriva dal latino "raptus" = "rapido", dato che la strada è molto ripida e quindi quando uno la percorre verso il basso i suoi passi sono rapidi. C'è solo un altro "ratto" a Trieste, "Ratto dei mandrieri", una piccola stradina con pochi numeri nel rione di Rozzol."Pileria" è il nome dovuto all'azienda che lavorava il riso (l'eliminazione delle bucce viene chiamata appunto pilatura) edificata nella zona nel 1913.
