説明 | Johanna (nee Clarke) was born around 1846. In 1874 she married Henry Beckett, and they lived together near Waimumu, in Southland, New Zealand. Throughout the course of his life, Henry was a gold miner, labourer and farmer. He was also a deeply religious believer of the Disciples of Christ, whereas Johanna identified at times to be a Christian Disciple herself, a Baptist, or just simply refused to say. The marriage appears to have been a difficult one, as the two spouses seem to have had a rather different idea of a happy life.
