| 説明 | Somewhere in the southern suburbs. The second motor car is seeminly operating as a trailer, as the third car would have been. Unfortunately the 179x fleetnumber is obscured by flapping flags which at other times of the year would have celebrated the Leipzig fair. 1779 was a 1975 vehicle which was scrapped in 1998 but many other similar vehicles were sold to Pyongyang in North Korea in the late 1990s, a potentially excelent destination for a tram spotting holiday. There doesn't seem to be a Linie 5 operated in Leipzig any longer perhaps replaced by the 10 and 16 services. Oddly the english wikipedia page on leipzig tram history ignores discontinued lines, but the German page states that as a result of a drastic redrawing of services on 26 May 2001, the 5 service, Miltitz – Lößnig ,disappeared |
