| 説明 | Peebles Island State Park is a part of our state and national heritage. The site of US Revolutionary War era battlements and embankments as a last possible defensive position to stop the British from coming down from Canada. Luckily General Gates and General Arnold stopped the British at the Battles of Saratoga. Later Peebles Island would feature as part of the Cluett-Peabody Company which was famous for the Arrow shirts and detatchable collars and cuffs that made Troy the Collar City. The Capital District Tourism Gnome enjoyed a beautiful day out and about the island exploring and relaxing, along with learning history. |
