| 説明 | 15th July 2017 saw Retro Railtours operate the 'Retro Welsh Dragon 2' railtour from Huddersfield to Swansea. Class 37s 37602 and 37606 provided the motive power, with 57306 attached to the tear of the train (presumably to help with the movements needed to reverse the train around the triangle at Landore after arrival at Swansea. Here the train is seen accelerating away from its stop at Cardiff Central, with the 37s making a fine sight and sound. Both engines are now over 50 years old, having entered traffic with British Railway in the early in 1960s. The photo was taken from the footbridge adjacent to Cowbridge Road East, not far from Ely Bridge. |
