| 説明 | A closer look at the statues as you approach the maze of exhibition halls/ sales outlets in the Shangri La River Resort. Most of these are placed there to add a bit of atmosphere to the place, and also to show a bit of the trade and commerce in that area. Most of the art and culture represented here in the Shangri La Resort is from the Miao, Yao, Dong and Zhuang minorities. Note the lake beyond the fence- our boat ride passed that way. I was struggling to take pictures of these facilities from the boat, and although the perspective from the boat is quite different, we did end up here at these very buildings with plenty of time to walk around and soak in the atmosphere.
