説明 | Although common along roadsides and trail sides, Japanese brome also inhabits relatively undisturbed sagebrush steppe and open understory of pine forests, which is in great contrast to Bromus tectorum (cheatgrass) throughout eastern Montana. The closely overlapping lemmas, each with a broad tip, superficially give the spikelet an appearance similar to a rattlesnake tail. |
