説明 | River Rhône from the Pont Wilson in Lyon. After our first look around Lyon, we started to head back to our hotel on the other side of the river. We would head back via the Pont Lafayette. We crossed the bridge from the Quai Jules Courmont towards the Quai Victor Augagneur.Pont LafayetteThe bridge Lafayette in Lyon is the third oldest bridge over the Rhone . In 1826 , is built a first bridge, the Charles Bridge or Bridge of the Concert from 1828 . It is 214 m long and 13 m wide and consists of a wooden frame resting on abutments and masonry piers. On September 5, 1829 , Lafayette made a triumphant entry into Lyons by borrowing the bridge which was renamed in his honor on September 19, 1830. He was carried away by floods in 1840 and then in 1856 .Too dilapidated, it was replaced in 1890 by the current bridge, with a metal structure resting on stone piles of Porcieu-Amblagnieu. The central arch, destroyed in September 1944, was rebuilt and the bridge reopened in 1946.bendybus |
