| 説明 | Cork Slang & 'Welcome' Boxes has been a very popular project. In collaboration with the People's Republic of Cork, funded by Sober Lane & Teamwork.com, and designed by Garreth Joyce, the painted boxes have sprung up all over the city. The international 'welcome' boxes show Cork's friendly side and are proving to be very photogenic, while the slang boxes are full of humour and character. I was hoping to photograph all or most of the boxes but I was unable to afford more than two nights because the hotels in Cork have become very expensive. This year two nights cost as much as four nights cost me last year.Reimagine Cork is a community effort focused on making Cork beautiful by rejuvenating historic laneways, developing urban green spaces and improving the appearance of derelict buildings that have been left to fall into ruin. |
