| 説明 | I bought this from the CMP at the same time I got the M1, the M1944 and the M1903. But since the M1903's trigger is so amazingly smooth, I hardly ever shoot this rifle. It was manufactured by Remington in 1942. Kind of interesting, that, when you consider the M1 had already been adopted in 1936. But the Springfield was cheaper to produce. According to Wikipedia: "The M1903 and the M1903A3 rifle were used in combat alongside the M1 Garand by the U.S. military during the Second World War and saw extensive use and action in the hands of U.S. troops in Europe, North Africa, and the Pacific. US Marines were initially armed with 1903 rifles in early battles in the Pacific, such as the Battle of Guadalcanal. By mid-war, however, US combat troops had been re-equipped with the M1 Garand."Photographed and manipulated using the technique described here.I'll probably replace it with a better shot from my DSLR later. |
