| 説明 | It's the ghost of the old Orleans Hotel! These are the grounds on which the Orleans Hotel once stood. This was the hotel's second location; the original was on Washington Street (nearby) and dated back to the 1850's and 1860's. The son of Sacagawea worked at the original location as a desk clerk in the 1860's.The Orleans was torn down in 1959, and replaced with a gas station. This image is a combination of an old photo and a modern day photo, taken from approximitely the same location.I used Gimp Editor to stack the old photo and the new one on top of each other, and erased parts of the original image with 15% transperency at a time. |
