Three centuries old, consecrated during the reign of prince Constantin Brancoveanu.The church stands in the eponymous Sfântul Gheorghe park, next to a tram stop and the unspeakably vile traffic on C. Bratianu boulevard. No signage restricts tourist wandering through this church, but I suggest consideration: St. George's attracts at least as many devotees as sightseers. I kept my camera out of the main worship hall. |
