| 説明 | A few minutes after I arrived and started taking pictures of my food (eliciting strange looks from most of the other patrons) a large group of young punk-rock dressed kids came in (they were all carrying instruments of some sort, so I am going to presume they were part of a band) Anyway, one of their number came back to the table with a small suitcase, and I first thought was some part of their band paraphenalia, but it turns out, it was a 'crave crate'. A cardboard suitcase with 30 little burgers in it. They were very nice and they let me take pics of them and only looked at me a little funny.Apparently you can get 'crave crates' of various sizes, up to 100. (note, 100 white castle burgers (in a nice take home 'crate') will run you about $50) My Conclusion: after all of this, White Castle is one of the paramounts of Americana. They get points for their level of quality, excess, and food quantity per dollar spent. And if you really like fast food, you will probably really love White Castle. (case in point: my roommate, after viewing these photos really wants to go to White Castle and try it out now)To all the non-americans reading this: look, but don't eat. |
