説明 | Photograph of a Fire Department of New York City fire truck, parked on Pier 90, West 50th Street Dock, on Manhattan’s West Side, with its hoses appearing to be pumping water from the river below. One of U.S. Navy’s Pacific Fleet ships that had been involved in the Navy’s Fleet Problem XV is seen docked next to the fire truck. The photograph was taken from the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Lexington in June 1934. The Lexington had just arrived in New York City from Haiti at the conclusion of the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Problem XV (June 1934) [photograph from Robert J.
