| 説明 | Yes, that Ilie Nastase. I think he failed to become president. Not sure what happened to Anton Vatasescu, un Premier Serios. *** Football shirt is Turkish, I think. Certainly not Steuea. McDonalds has already arrived. This was the election for Mayor of Bucharest ; on November 3 1996 a general election was held. The number of parties is unbelieveable!en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanian_general_election,_1996although there were really only two main parties with the SDU a third party getting 13pc of the vote. The Mayoral election was held on June 16 1996, lawyer Victor Ciorbea having only just joined the Christian Democratic National Peasant Party 3 months prior! In the General Election he became the Prime Minister, so that Viorel Lis succeeded him from December 1996 until June 2000. Ciorbea's newest party is the National Liberal PartyAnton Vatasescu, former Romanian Ambassador to France, was another unsuccessful candidate, along with Nastase [see comment below by Marius] *** He was born on July 27, 1939; the lion's sign. He graduated from the Faculty of Electronics in 1961. Before 1989, technical director and general manager at IPRS Baneasa. From December 1989 to March 1990, Minister of Electronics and Electrotechnics; from March 1990 to April 1991, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, where he was responsible for trade, industry and communications. In April 1991 he gave his second resignation. He spent three months in unemployment and then from June 1991 to June 1994 he was an ambassador to Paris. From January 1994 until May 1996 he worked as a director at a private company. He engaged in the electoral battle for the post of mayor in 1996 and became vice-mayor. From June 1996 to April 1998 vice-mayor of the Capital.source |
