| 説明 | This material from Iran has been identified as mylonitic epidote gneiss, but I don't see characteristics consistent with that assessment. The pistachio green-colored material is epidote, a metamorphic mineral with the chemical formula Ca2(Al,Fe)3(SiO4)3(OH) - calcium hydroxy-aluminoferrosilicate. It occurs in the matrix and fills the abundant fractures. |
