Uriah Gibson of Mustang, Oklahoma looks down the sights of an AKM rifle during international weapons familirization training taught by Canadian army soldiers at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center near Yavoriv, Ukraine on Jan. 19.Gibson is a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 179th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. His company, and another from 1st Bn. 179th Inf Regt., fired both the AKM rifle and PKM machine gun to familirize themselves with the weapons before partnering with Ukrainian Combat Training Center staff at the IPSC to mentor Ukrainan army units rotating through the training center.
