| 説明 | Miquelon Island in the the archipelago of Saint Pierre and Miquelon, an Overseas collectivity ("first order" administrative division) of France, located in the Atlantic Ocean off the interior coast of Newfoundland, in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. amidst Canadian maritime provinces. The view here is to the north. making the larger northern island, Grand Miquelon, appear smaller. Out of this shot, but in this series, is <a href="Langlade Island (aka Petite Miquelon) to the south. The isthmus connecting the two is a tombolo landspit called La Dune, which has come and gone over recent centuries. The small island above Grand Miquelon is Le Cap, which is also connected to its larger neighbor by a tombolo landspit. In the protected east side of Le Cap is the islands' population center, Miquilon Landglade. |
