説明 | A Kodak Duoflex 1, an early 1950's entirely mechanical camera (shutter cocked by the push of the shutter button...) that was the first camera this photographer / poster ever handled - it was his father's camera - and he may have taken pictures with that camera, although I can't recall any... I have to look through the family photo album to see if there's any with my father and mother, (and possibly brother...) (but not the poster/photographer!) in one of the pictures (then I probably took it, particularly after 1973...). The camera only took batteries to fire the flash, not shown here. (I don't recall which flashbulbs it used...) Exposure control? not on the # 1... the # 2 had two stops (ƒ 8 and ƒ 11) Taken by a Nikon D610 at Looking Glass Photo (no, this isn't my father's camera, it belongs to LGP...) in Berkeley, CA, inside a "light tent" that they have on demonstration. Taken by a Nikon D610 at ISO 400 with a Nikkor 50mm ƒ 1.4 AF-D lens. Camera's on-board flash fired. SOOC, no reduction to black and white done! Cropped to an appropriate square, otherwise SOOCThe Duoflex line all took 620 film - the same negative size (2¼ x 2¼) as 120, and still somewhat available - by winding 120 film (in total darkness, of course!) onto another 120 spool, then rewinding onto a 620 spool! If you have one of the # 1's, I'd suggest only using 100 or 125 ISO film (with a wide exposure latitude...) in it... (the set exposure, which you can't change, is ƒ 8 at 1/100th sec...) and not using it indoors, unless you either have the flash attachment (and flashbulbs for it!) or can figure out how to trigger (and sync!) an electronic flash from the camera... |
