| 説明 | What marvellous flies these are. They hover 30 to 40mm above the ground over shrubs growing in white sand. If you disturb them they zoom off very quickly.Yesterday two sat on the tops of shrubs near us and allowed us to get close photographs. When we got too close, they moved to another nearby plant stem.As they landed they tilted their body resting with heads down. Generally seen scattered on white sandy Banksia open woodland.Size: 10-14mm not including proboscisPhoto: Fred |
