| 説明 | Juniper Dunes consists of three adjoining areas comprising approximately 19,600 acres. Each area has different designations and use regulations:Juniper Dunes Wilderness - The 7,100-acre wilderness area, designated in 1984, is fenced. Motorized and mechanized use (including bicycles and game carts) is strictly prohibited within the wilderness area.OHV "Open" Area - A 3,920-acre off-highway vehicle (OHV) area is designated as "Open" to OHV use. Cross-country travel is permissible throughout the "Open" area.Area of Critical Environmental Concern - Lastly, within the 8,620-acre ACEC, motorized travel is limited to existing routes - to protect natural resources no off-route travel is allowed. Know Before You Go: -Juniper Dunes is open YEAR ROUND.-Helmets, safety flags on whip masts, and current state registration and tabs/stickers are required on all OHVs.-There are no services available.-Although Juniper Dunes is open to the public, portions of Peterson Road are privately owned. Public access is contingent on the willingness of adjacent landowners to permit the public to cross their property to reach the BLM public lands.-No Fees.Directions: From Spokane, head west on I-90 then take US-395 south to East Foster Wells Road in Pasco, WA. Turn left onto East Foster Wells Road, then left on Pasco Kahlotus Road. and then turn left onto Peterson Rd. The destination will be on your right.Point of Interest: Popular uses of the wilderness area include picnicking and camping, some hiking, horseback riding, and hunting.
