説明 | The upper plate of a Nikonos I primed and ready to take a shot at 1/30 of a second. the Nikonos has the "normal" lens for the camera (a W-Nikkor 35mm ƒ 2.5...) mounted. Taken in Albany, CA by a Nikon D610 at ISO 400 with a Micro-Nikkor 105mm ƒ 2.8 AF-D lens (NOT the AF-S!) Exposure is 1/15 sec @ ƒ 3.3. Last two digits of serial number obscured for the owner's privacy...This original member of the Nikonos line is the member that James Bond (007) is sporting in scenes in Dr. No. (suitably modified by Q division, no doubt...) There are two odd things about the camera: (which was actually designed by Jaques Cousteau...) 1) the Shutter release/film wind (You press the tab in to shoot, then that tab springs to about 75° forward and to the camera's right. You wind the film forward by returning the tab to the position shown. and 2) to load/unload the camera, you have to remove the lens, then pry the two parts of the camera body apart with the two tabs that also serve as the strap lugs for the camera. This (obviously) can't be done underwater - and should probably be done after the camera is rinsed in fresh water and dried off, if the dive was in salt water...The camera has no meter and needs no batteries, being fully mechanical...This camera was used in Bangkok for Songkran, 2018 (AKA: the city-wide water fight...) |
