Making a larger one, was on my ToDo ever since. I made a test piece, to ensure that rotation of the molecule by 45° gives a nice alignment with the edge (totally unnecessary, because Robin did that before, I just forgot). Colouring was done after precreasing, to have the colour gradiant matching the molecules. Oil pastels are my new favorite, for they are nice to blend, do not need water and are waterresistant, so I could dampen and flatten the final model. Nothing to say about the folding process, but fun, fun, fun. And I even got used to the Escher-Stepish inverting of the "scales". |
