| 説明 | The reason I'm soo behind on my flickr-ing is because this past week was the week for V-Day - a global movement to end violence against girls and women. Around the world, V-Day campaigns are held to raise money for organizations that help end violence against women. At the school where I work, we tied a number of awareness raising activities, such as a workshop on domestic violence, into our V-Day programming. On Thursday and Friday of last week, we held our annual performances of The Vagina Monologues, which is essentially the capstone for V-Day events everywhere. This is an excellent cause and I feel so lucky to get to be involved; that being said, it is also one of the most stressful times of the year for me, so I have to say I'm glad it's over.255/365 |
