説明 | Armistice Day parade, Raleigh, NC, November 11, 1941. Scenes of the Armistice Day parade in downtown Raleigh including groups of young people on Fayetteville Street with the State Capitol Building in the background, military and other groups marching by the State Administration Building (known now as the Ruffin Building), Thiem’s Office Supplies store, a marching band passing the Wake Theater and Eckerd’s, a float made to look like the Parthenon called “The Glory That Was Greece” sponsored by Greek Community of Raleigh, and an antique car decorated for NC State College Wolfpack and Kappa Alpha fraternity going past the Vogue store and Eckerd’s.
