説明 | Pareidolia is the tendency to interpret a vague stimulus as something known to the observer, such as seeing shapes in clouds, seeing faces in inanimate objects or abstract patterns, or hearing hidden messages in music. It is often considered to be an evolved skill- our ancestors needed to be able to identify predators - or prey- lurking in foliage, tall grass etc. Very often our peripheral vision is better at spotting real-or imagined- threats than our central vision. This explains why cats- who have a natural fear of snakes- jump when they notice a cucumber that has suddenly, silently appeared next to them.www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXv44YL_GioA double exposure using both sides of the film. |
