| 説明 | MOLLA KUCHI KALAY, Afghanistan--On 24 May 08, COMKAF, Air Commodore Judson, and Wing Commander Miller, attended the opening ceremony of the new causeway across the Tarnack river north of Mollā Kūchī Kalay. The causeway has been built to aid the movement of goods and services from the south of Dand district to Kandahar City and to provide a year-round crossing point of the seasonal river. A secure route into the City, it will prove immensely beneficial to the local economy and allow heavy goods traffic unfettered access to local roads around Kandahar Airfield (KAF). The opening ceremony was attended by the Dand District Chief, Ahmadullah Nazook, and Yar Mohammed, the Head Man of Zakar-e-Sharif, with security provided jointly by the Dand district Afghan National Police (ANP) and Support Weapons Flight (Sp Wpns Flt), 3 Sqn RAF Regt. The ceremony proceeded smoothly and was a welcome display of effective Afghan National Security Forces and Coalition Forces (ANSF/CF) cooperation. Both Ahmadullah Nazook and Yar Mohammed expressed their delight with the new causeway and with the progress being made by ISAF in the KAF GDA and the project will further develop the relationship between KAF and the local community.
