| 説明 | The Freestate ChalleNGe today in-processed nearly 190 cadets from around the state of Maryland into their 22-week military-oriented residential program for qualified youth. The program is located on the Edgewood Area of the Aberdeen Providing Ground, near Edgewood, Maryland. It serves students from around the State of Maryland and accepts applications year round. Classes begin twice each year, in January and July, and are continuous for 5 ½ months. Following the residential phase of the program, cadets must complete the 12-month post-residential phase in order to successfully complete the Freestate ChalleNGe Academy program.While enrolled in the ChalleNGe program, participants are introduced to many programs and concepts that are necessary for a successful and healthy lifestyle. Administered by the Maryland National Guard the program hopes to help young adults acquire and refine the skills and strengths necessary to take more productive roles in our communities. The residential portion of the program is followed-up with a 12 month mentoring phase designed to aid graduates adjust to the world of work and follow-on education. The Freestate ChalleNGe Academy was established in 1993 and has graduated more than 4,000 cadets since its inception. The ChalleNGe program is a great opportunity for the youth to learn about themselves, challenge all their capabilities and realize personal accomplishment! Academy staff and, personal mentors work diligently with cadets to ensure they maintain their track to success and accomplishment. |
