| 説明 | 8110 entered service as part of a batch of 14 Tracline buses for the 'Tracline 65' guideway in October 1984 - the guided busway built along Streetly Road in Short Heath, Birmingham. Fleet numbers for new Metrobuses had reached 27xx around this time, so 8101-14 was a special series for this group. Miller Street depot was their home until its closure on 31/5/86 - and they all moved to Hockley. The project came to an end on 26th Sept 1987 and 8101-14 were renumbered 2961-74 (the last digit of their registrations fitting neatly into the then current fleet numbering). This 'hid' their older years - until you looked at the registration plate!8110 became 2970 at Hockley but it transferred to Coventry in 1993 with sisters 2968-69 and there it remained for some 11 years. Later purchased for preservation - it has been restored to its Tracline 65 condition. |
