| 説明 | SFWMD staff conducted a 1,500 acre prescribed burn on the Mecca Farms property in Palm Beach County as a land management tool to reduce wildfire fuel loads, eliminate exotic vegetation and benefit wildlife. Brush trucks, ATVs and a helicopter were coordinated and operated by trained SFWMD staff to accomplish the work. Located west of the Beeline Highway, the property will become a shallow-water storage area capable of sending water east into the Wild and Scenic Northwest Fork of the Loxahatchee River.
