説明 | Bonnie Prince Charlie or Charles Edward Stuart as is real name was came to the then town of Derby in 1745 with around 6,000 troops. In December every year the Charles Edward Stuart Society stages two days of battles and a march through the city of Derby on 4th December. He had come from Scotland and was descending down through England with his troops until he came to Derby where he stayed on his quest to take the English throne in his fathers name. He and his troops spent three days in the then town and eventually after hearing news that the government in was sending troops to him he decided to retreat back to Scotland. Photo Taken: 04/12/16 |
