| 説明 | We walk through the bush to the boat station which will take us to Turtle Island in the Mekong Delta. It was a pleasant and shaded walk with a tributary of the Mekong to our left and fruit orchards and fields to the right. Here we are on the stone walkway leading to the river. This is not a natural forest by any means but still, by way of information, the Mekong Delta is the region with the smallest forest area in Vietnam. 300,000 hectares (740,000 acres) or 7.7% of the total area are forested as of 2011.
