| 説明 | London: We delivered the Asia Bibi petitions and signatures to the Pakistan High Commission in SW1 to Mr Khan's secretary (The High Commissioner from Pakistan to The U.K). There was a big turnout of our supporters outside the Pakistan High Commission and we were warmly greeted on such a cold day. It was going to be a silent protest but the people could not stay silent for long and started chanting "Free, Free, Asia Bibi, Free Free Asia Bibi" and "Let Asia Bibi leave the country" for around 30 minutes non stop. Our partner from The British Pakistani Christian Association made a speech and played a Free Asia Bibi song which has been composed recently. There were a few testimonies from persecuted Christians in the Pakistani community within the United Kingdom who had received death threats and were in hiding from muslims and even their own family and we called upon all concerned at The high Commission to take this matter very seriously and to let Asia Bibi leave Pakistan. The BBC and other news agencies were present and filmed for short periods. All in all a very worthwhile day out for CitizenGO. |
