| 説明 | Shipwreck Cove, Ahipera, NZ 27 Oct 2005We rested for a while after returning from Kaitata, and then set offfor a walk around the western point of rocks along Shipwreck Cove. We walked along exploring the natural world. We saw Black-backed gulls, pied shags, white-faced heron, and some interesting quartz embedded rocks along the peninsula.We had an eclectic lunch in a nice sheltered spot. We ate Blue cheese, crackers, Thai tuna curry, and ginger snaps. We saw some interesting horsetails and grasses near our lunch spot. We were within striking distance of the dunes but some weather looked like it could be coming in. Lots of gray clouds in the sky, so we walked back a bit more brisly than when we left.i102705 235 |
