The Sequoia is the 15th of the Coast Guard's new Juniper-class sea-going buoy tenders. Capable of performing Aids to Navigation, Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, National Defense and Marine Environmental protection, the Sequoia made a 15,000-nautical mile voyage from its launching in Lake Michigan to its permanent home port of Apra Harbor in the U.S. territory of Guam.
