| 説明 | Ball Cam is an innovative camera-in-a-ball that Lizzie Sykes invented. She uses the cam in collaboration with dancers to produce a series of highly original dance/video pieces in which the dancers themselves are able to control the camera. These are photos of 'Compass' - a live perfomance event by Olu Tawio and Lizzie Sykes that took place at the exhibition.ARTIST STATEMENT"At the core of my work is the moving image. Other dynamic forms I workwith are dance, landscape and recently sound... combined with video. I lovethe concept of cameras. The physical, immediate, sometimes playful natureof the work means that now and then I need to create cameras, or bits ofcameras, to achieve the response in myself and an audience that I’m lookingfor."Ultimately, the films are all collaborations that evolve from a response to aninitial idea.
