| 説明 | I actually had a reasonably busy day today, but didn't photograph any of it! That means you get my one shot of the day which is this.Not long ago I bought a new alarm clock which is nicely featured with wi-fi, DAB, internet radio, network play, four alarm settings...all the things you could want in an alarm clock. The problem? It sounds rubbish!This is plastic cased giving a fairly small enclosure which is reasonably well matched to the pair of two inch drivers that push the sound out. I listen at very, very low volumes so the small displacement isn't a problem. What is a problem is that they put the bloody things in the top of the case, firing up! In the first instance I got the case off to see if I can easily intercept the speakers cables to use the internal amp to drive an external speaker.I'd have thought that would be very easy, but not so! In a brilliant piece of cost cutting everything is glued onto the heat shields that I need to remove, and more than that the speakers are actually soldered directly onto the mainboard! Maybe I'll look at using the headphone output instead to see what I can drive. One for another day. |
