| 説明 | Native, warm-season, perennial, scrambling legume, to 20 cm tall and with a woody taproot. Leaves have 2 leaflets (2-7 mm wide), which vary in shape along the stem; the lower leaflets are broader and shorter than the upper ones. Flowerheads are spike-like clusters of yellow to orange (with reddish markings) flowers, each 5-10 mm long. Pods are segmented and hairless to sparsely hairy. Flowering is from late spring to early autumn. Found in grasslands, woodlands and open forest. Native biodiversity. Usually a minor component of pastures. It has low yields, but appears to be quite palatable. Probably shade sensitive, as it is most common after burning, and in short grasslands and open habitats. Best suited to light grazing pressure. |
