| 説明 | One of the best official postcards of the new Berlin (certainly for Eastern European car enthusiasts) in my collection. The only thing missing is a Tatra. Behind the Eiscafe Mokka is the Hotel Berolina, to the left the Kino International. At some point, Postamt C76 operated in the newly built Berolina. Certainly in the 1960s, just as the pre-war Hotel Excelsion in the Stresemann Str. had its own post office.This group fo buildings, along with the blocks of flats opposite were trumpeted by the DDR regime as the pinnacle of modernism in the late 60s and early 70s. By then Stalinallee was right out of fashion for the postcard publishers. |
