| 説明 | A slightly more zoomed shot of the sulphur baths in old Tbilisi. These are the buildings with the domes on the roof. Located on Abano (bath) Street the underground public bath houses in use today are characterised from the outside by their rows of low cupola. The oldest is Erekle's Bath, whilst the most externally ornate is 'Chreli Abano' with its towering facade of decorated tiles. Unfortunately, like happened in Turkey, I was bound by set tours with more out station tours lined up, due to which I could not wander off on my own to experience the famed Turkish baths first hand. Same case here in Georgia. With an elderly driver guide in tow and tours lined up for the next two days, I could not experience these baths first hand. (Tbilisi, Georgia, Sept. 2016) |
