| 説明 | Oystermouth Castle (Castell Ystum Llwynarth), Mumbles, South Wales, December 1976. First built in 1106 by William de Londres during the Norman conquest of the Gower from the Welsh Principality of Deheubarth, it was taken by the Deheubarth Welsh and retaken by the Anglo-Normans several times. Llywelyn the Great, Prince of Wales took it in 1215 for the last time by the Welsh but in 1220 the castle and the entire peninsular of the Gower was taken for the last time by the Anglo-Normans under John de Braose, who became Baron of Gower and rebuilt the castle in its present form. |
