| 説明 | Despite having had a peaceful and most active time when both Muslim and Jews live on the same soil and cities, Spain unified itself by expelling those religious communities in 1492. Its Catholic Church embarked on a horrid persecution called inquisition. The persecuted Jews and Muslims made it to the Americas with Christopher Columbus. They brought the teachings of Moses Maimonides, (Ibn Rushd) and Averroes. This graffiti with an swastika and calling Jews assassins is an awful expression of rightwing intolerance in Spain and sadly some places in Europe. |
