| 説明 | A nice parking slot indeed for a 'kettuvallam' or house boat! In this case, the house boat appears to function as someone's living quarters-- she was completely shuttered for privacy. Most 'kettuvallam' house boats actually serve as hotels for tourists and take you on a cruise on the Kerala backwaters, though what you can see of the outside from an insulated enclosed box beats me. Of course many of them do have an upper viewer deck but with the size of the boat, and the height you would be perched at, it cannot be good. It may be cosy due to the air con but if you want to see and breathe in the local sights and colours, an open smaller boat closer to water level is a much better option!
