説明 | Microseris nutans is distinguished by its pappus where each segment has the combination of a plumose distal segment and a basal scale-like segment. The sagebrush-steppe-inhabiting Agoseris and Nothocalais are scapose and have a pappus of just capillary bristles. Crepis species are perhaps most similar but they are not scapose species and they have a pappus of only capillary bristles and involucral bracts with usually conspicuous dark setae (stout hairs). This site lies to the west of Elk Mountain (east of the Jarbidge Mountains). |
