Parson.This composition for voices (no instruments) was billed a piece for 1000 voices. Although it was a steamy, sweaty day (said to feel like 105 degrees), the performers did a great job. It was an oddly stirring work about how we all can come together from the things we share in common. For the first half of the piece I watched from above, from the balcony of David Geffen Hall. For the second half. I wandered amongst the singers on the plaza.Conductor Simon Halsey leaving the fountain on the plaza to go up to the balcony of David Geffen Hall for the last part of the performance.www.stevenpisano.photo |
