| 説明 | Previously published: 050929-F-6705C-151 BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq – Airmen applaud and cheer, thanking wounded Soldiers and Marines for their service in the fight against Al Qaeda in Iraq as they are brought aboard the last C-141 Starlifter combat-zone aeromedical evacuation flight Sept. 29, 2005. The aircraft, assigned to the Air Force Reserve Command's 445th Airlift Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, transported the injured service members to Landstuhl Medical Center, Germany, for treatment. This flight concluded more than three decades of overseas aeromedical evacuation missions with the aircraft, beginning during the Vietnam War.
