Go and learn the meaning of the words, I desire mercy, not sacrifice. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.” Matthew 9:12-13I believe Jesus is saying, yes, I know you can Give Up (sacrifice) things for Love of me, but can you GIVE; Love, Forgiveness, Mercy to others FOR LOVE OF ME?MEDITATION "On more than one occasion Jesus quoted the saying from the prophet Hosea: For I desire Love/Mercy and not sacrifice (Hosea 6:6). Do you thank the Lord Jesus for the great mercy He has shown to you?
